The Park Tool Mechanic 101 Class is designed to teach basic skills to the novice andadvanced cyclist. Students will learn how to maintain the bicycle, repair flats, adjustbrakes/ headsets/ wheel hubs, and learn wheel truing. Several hours will be spenton the drive train of the bicycle where students will learn how to adjust gears,replace cables and housing, change a cassette, remove the cranks andbottom bracket, and keep the drive train running smoothly. Students will receive a Park Tool 101 certificate upon completion of the class.This is a 12 hour class divided into 2 to 4 sessions.
The Park Tool Mechanic 202 Class is designed to advance the skills of students who have completed the 101 class. Students will apply their 101 knowledge and take their mechanicability to the next level. This class will consist mostly of lab time. Students will receive a Park Tool 202 certificate upon completion of the class.This is a 12 hour class divided into 2 to 4 sessions.
The Park Tool Drive Train Class is designed to teach cyclists about the most importantcomponent of the bicycle - the drive train. The drive train consists of all the partsnecessary to drive the bicycle forward. Students will learn how to adjust, replace,repair, and service parts of the drive train susceptible to wear and tear. Studentswill be instructed on mechanical procedures, with hands-on learning activities.This is a 5 hour class that can be done in 1 to 2 sessions.
Basic Bike Maintenance Class is designed to teach the cyclist how to maintain a safeworking bike and to be self-sufficient while out on the road or trail. Students will learn how to clean the bike,lube the chain,and change a flat. In addition, students will learn how to do basic adjustments on the bike.This is a 3 hour class completed in 1 session.
Bike Repairs - Bike repairs are based on a rate of $30 an hour.

Park Tool mechanic classes must contain a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 15 students.
Private lessons are available upon request. Mechanic classes can be adjusted for time, skill level, and material. Prices adjusted accordingly.
